What is the difference between the Port-Louis bracelet and the Larmor-Plage bracelet?
The Port-Louis and Larmor-Plage Seaqual canvas bracelets are very similar and share the following characteristics:
- Seaqual fabric made from recycled marine plastic waste
- Microfiber lining
- Quick-release pumps for easy assembly
- Water resistance (we recommend rinsing the bracelet with clean water after use)
- 100% French manufacturing
The main difference between the two models lies in the tricolour bridle stitch located at the lugs , present on the Port-Louis model and absent on the Larmor-Plage .
Can you make a bracelet with custom strand lengths?

Can you advise me on choosing the color of my bracelet?
With great pleasure!
You can send us a photo of your watch by email or contact us via the chat on our website. We'd be happy to advise you on choosing the most suitable color.
The Port-Louis and Larmor-Plage models are available in many colours, and it is not uncommon for several combinations to work perfectly depending on the season or your style.
Are your bracelets really 100% made in France?
Absolutely. Our bracelets are manufactured entirely in France , from start to finish.
- Cutting the Seaqual canvas, reinforcements and lining
- Sewing
- Attaching the bridle stitch
- Hot iron markings
Choosing an Avel & Men bracelet means supporting French craftsmanship and regional know-how.
Are your bracelets waterproof? Can you swim with them?
Our bracelets are not strictly waterproof, as water can penetrate the fabric.
However, the Seaqual canvas models ( Port-Louis , Larmor-Plage ) as well as our special SNSM PORSPODER model have microfiber linings .
This microfiber, which is very comfortable and visually similar to leather, easily withstands seawater.
After swimming in a pool or the sea, we recommend rinsing the bracelet with clean water and letting it dry away from the sun .
How can I tell if your bracelet is compatible with my watch?
The vast majority of watches use a classic spring bar system to secure the strap. Therefore, in most cases, it is possible to replace your current strap with an Avel & Men strap.
You simply need to measure the width between the lugs of your watch.
If you have any doubts, please don't hesitate to send us an email with a photo of your watch and as much information as possible (brand, model number, year of purchase). We'll be happy to help.
